One 40 lb. bag of Scotts Turf Builder Halts Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food covers 15,000 sq. ft. This product stops crabgrass before it invades and promotes a fast green-up after winter. It prevents the growth of listed weeds, including crabgrass, barnyard grass, foxtail, Poa annua, chickweed, and oxalis. Apply the pre-emergent weed killer plus fertilizer to a dry lawn in early spring, before the 3rd or 4th mowing, and prior to temperatures regularly reaching the 80s. Rain, snow, or freezing conditions after application will not affect the product's performance. Do not apply to Dichondra and Bentgrass. Note: Packaging has minor damage, but it has been repaired.
