L'ECHOPPE has created this masterpiece, aiming for the classic denim that was distributed mainly in the United States from the 1980s to the 1990s. They have thoroughly recreated the state of denim from the transitional period when the width of the fabric became double width for mass production. The loom is single width, and the fabric edge finish is selvedge, but in order to faithfully follow the specifications of the time, the product does not use ears, and the stitch color and thread count are also designed with the time in mind.
Rigid denim is finished without any shrinkage processing, so it shrinks when washed, resulting in distortions that make it look like even older denim than the era recreated this time. It is a characteristic of rigid denim that it becomes familiar with each wear and takes on the shape of the wearer.
